Eckhart Tolle and Oprah's Web Class
A New Earth
There are two more chapters left in the 10 chapter web class series that started on Monday March 3, 2008. The first live web class was watched by about 800,000 people from all over the world - and now they say that about 200,000 people are viewing the classes - either live or by downloading them the next day.
If you haven't tuned in - definitely do! They make an excellent team. Between Eckhart's sincerity and clear ideas and Oprah's ability to help all to understand the sometimes hard-to-understand ideas - Ah-HA! moments abound!

It's wonderful to know that we are all connected while we watch - especially the first moments of silent meditation. How often do hundreds of thousands of people meditate together? Well, it's happening Now!
I had never watched an Oprah show before in my life and had only read a little of Eckhart's book, "The Power of Now" a few years earlier - but these classes are great! That so many people are watching them and...that they actually exist is totally mind-boggling to me, really.
It was only 8 years ago that, while browsing through some books on a Value Village shelf that a "Seth" book seemed to jump out at me. I had never been interested in this sort of 'weird' stuff before...so what was I doing standing there under the fluorescent lights for 20 minutes utterly fascinated by what I was reading? I put the book down and walked away. Then I walked back. Then I walked away. I was embarassed to actually go up to the counter and buy it!
Now, to hear Eckhart and Oprah talking about the "Inner Body" and Consciousness and Energy like it's an everyday normal topic - WOW - we have come a long way! Of course, people have been awakening throughout history and, in our culture, since the 60's...then another big blast of awakening in 1987...but I would say that more people have transformed more quickly in, say, the last 10 years than they have in LIFETIMES previously.
And that is the beauty of choosing to be alive during this wild, wonderful period of Earth History...the energy is available to transform like you've never transformed before. Think about how much a human being could transform in the 1500's...Working, Family, Church...
Now think of yourself, your family, your parents...aren't even your parents changing their belief systems? Expanding their consciousness to include ideas that would likely seem strange to them just a mere 15 years ago? Like...past lives, energy living on and never dying, that there is more to Life than meets the eye and the 5 senses...that Life is actually a beautiful Mystery! More beautiful and interesting and wild than we'd ever imagined! Wow.
Since one of my main tools for interpreting energy is Astrology, I find it very fitting that the Eckhart/Oprah class is happening now...because, since 2003 Uranus has been in the sign Pisces. What does this mean? Well...
Uranus is the planet of Rebellion, Revolution, Personal Freedom, Surprises, A Bolt out of the Blue! Uranus rules Ah-Ha! moments. Uranus, as an energy, brings us something totally new depending on the sign that it's in.
Let's look at Uranus through the signs since the 60's and you'll get the idea.
| 1968 to 1974: Uranus in Libra. The Peace movement was born: equality and human rights were the social focus. Uranus revolutionized Relationships/Marriage. (Libra rules Relationship, Harmony, Beauty, Balance, Love) |

| 1981 to 1987: Uranus in Sagittarius. The New Age Movement took off. Freedom to be who you are, believe what you believe. (Sagittarius is very idealistic and seeks to expand mind, philosophize.) |
| 1988 to 1994: Uranus in Capricorn. A period of turmoil and political revolution and the demise of communism. (Capricorn/Saturn represents the Structure of a country created by Governments and Authorities. The Berlin Wall coming down is a perfect symbol for Uranus in Capricorn) |
| 1995 to 2002: Uranus in Aquarius. The internet became a global phenomenon. (Uranus is Aquarius' ruler - so when Uranus actually moves into it's own sign it is super-Uranian energy! Uranus and Aquarius both rule technology, astrology, personal freedom, global communication. Didn't everyone get a computer within these years? We all began communicating, magically, across continents, with strangers, instantly. Astrology became more mainstream too) |
March 11th, 2003 to 2011: Uranus in Pisces. (I wrote this in early March, 2003 before Uranus had moved into Pisces: on the curezone astrology forum.: Spiritual Revolution! Being involved in the 'other worldly' aspects of Pisces will become normal. Spirituality, 'other worlds', other beings, psychic phenomenon, something unexpected happens in the world of organized religion, new modern music. The veil thins! I will add to that today: Uranus has revolutionized our idea of what is 'real' and what is 'unreal'...Uranus has opened our eyes to all those Piscean possibilities: pure spirituality without the box of Religion. Pisces is formless...that's what Eckhart is talking about every Monday! In fact the whole web class is permeated by Uranus in Pisces ideas. And we are READY for it! That's what's so beautiful and, of course, right. The timing is right - the timing is NOW. Uranus in Pisces opens us to the Flow of Life...not resisting...accepting the Life we are living....or accepting that Life is simply living US and we get to go along for the fascinating ride. Our spirits and souls have been Revolutionized! Another symbol of Uranus is the lightning bolt to the head - the Ah-HA! moment...where you're transformed instantly. As an aside...right now, while Uranus is in Pisces....Neptune is in Aquarius. The interesting thing about this is that this means these two planets are in 'mutual reception'. Watch this: Uranus rules Aquarius. Neptune rules Pisces. But right now they are both in the sign of the other! This is very powerful and is simply a sign that this THEME is very important and needs to be struck home. The Theme is reflected in Uranus in Pisces and Neptune in Aquarius. Essentially Revolutionizing our Souls, Beliefs, Sense of Spirituality and doing it through the Uranus/Aquarian Internet! Reaching thousands of people through technology - which is ruled by Uranus/Aquarius. Boggles the mind eh? I'll say! Now get this: Both Eckhart Tolle and Oprah are Aquarius'!!! Yup. Perfect. I'm going to look at both their charts next. But, how fascinating that they are both Aquarius'. This means - among other obvious things - that they have both had or will have (depending on what degree their Aquarian Sun is at) Neptune sitting directly on their Aquarian Sun. This transit (Neptune conjunct Sun doesn't happen to everyone during their lifetime since it takes Neptune 168 years to go through every sign - soooo this is significant indeed!) is a super spiritualizing transit...it would feel like you're infused with higher power energy (although one might feel tired because this energy isn't really great 'earth' doing energy)...and one would feel like helping others... |
March 13th, 2011 to 2018: Uranus moves into Aries. I find this really interesting because Aries starts a new cycle. It seems that Uranus in Aries supports the energy-shift that has been predicted to happen in 2012! We'll have gone through our individual transformations/revolutions and will be ready for Uranus in Aries: hopefully we'll be ready to greet any surprises (Uranus is surprising!) with strength. Aries wants what it wants...and can be immature, agressive and war-mongering. Aries is ruled by Mars - Mars rules the Ego. That's a little worrisome. But, clearly, everything is as it should be...Eckhart and Oprah are helping thousands to realize what that Ego is and how to Be your True Self not an Ego Self. So, all is in order! By the time Uranus enters Aries we will know what we want and we'll feel that we're are part of something brand new - a new energy and new consciousness for a new world...why else would we be expanding our consciousness as much as we have been? |
Now let's take a look at their charts individually and in composite as they relate to The New Earth Web Class
Oprah Winfrey To begin with she has her Sun, Venus and Mercury all conjunct in Aquarius - the sign ruling technology and individuality - being your own unique self. The most striking thing about her chart is the Grand Trine (harmoniously flowing energy through three signs all in the same element) in Air linking her Mercury in Aquarius, Neptune in Libra and Jupiter in Gemini....Wow! She is able to communicate (Mercury) and teach (Jupiter) spiritual (Neptune) values! Jupiter also trines her Sun/Venus and she has a Sagittarius Moon so one could say she is a very Jupiterian individual: positive, benevolent, expansive - and one who is open to 'foreign' ideas...one who can guide and teach others. Pluto is directly opposite her Mercury which would say to me that she may feel like people are opposing her ideas...her words also carry weight, intensity and power (Pluto)...I'd say that if she didn't have the charming, harmonizing, loving Venus energy right beside her Sun this Mercury/Pluto opposition would probably get her into trouble as her words would be toooo forceful - but with Venus at her Sun's side her words soften. I was, naturally, wondering about her Ego (Mars)...it's in the sign of Scorpio and forms a T-square (challenging) with her Mercury/Pluto - so she's had her fair share of power struggles stemming from her healthy Ego...and with her Mars trining Uranus she definitely has her own way of doing things and can't understand why someone would want her to do anything but what she wants to do! Her actions (Mars) are inspired by Uranus...Uranus (her ruler since she's an Aquarius) is always urging her to be her True Self and do what she truuuuly wants to do. Uranus rules each of our individual Sparks! Transit-wise I found it interesting that she has already experienced Neptune conjunct her Venus/Sun (back in 2001/2002) but Eckhart has yet to experience this transit! His will come up in...woah! he has already started to feel it! One feels transits when they are 3degrees away from your natal planet - which means that in March, 2008 (when the web class started!) was when he started to feel this transit - interesting! He will feel it full on in 2009/2010. He should ask Oprah how she felt back in 2001/2002. Neptune conjunct Sun doesn't happen to everyone as it takes Neptune 168 years to travel through each of the signs - so this is an interesting rare event that they both share, both being Aquarius'! Neptune spiritualizes whatever it touches. Eckhart has clearly already been spiritualized so I'm curious how this will effect him... The other interesting transit for Oprah is that has had Neptune conjunct her Mercury since 2006...although Neptune is now off her Mercury it still lingers on the periphery for all of 2008. When she chose The New Earth for her book club in January 2008 I guess she'd had two years of interesting spiritual experiences - Neptune/Mercury will do that to you! Dreams, phsychic events, spiritual ideas, feelings and intuitively speaking from your higher self. Perfecto. The final transit that relates to this web class is that from April, 2008 until the end of 2009 she has Uranus in Pisces trining her Mars. I knew that Uranus in Pisces had to be effecting her somehow....Radical Actions! Thinking outside the box and putting this new ideas into action. Expect more interesting subjects from her over the next couple of years, for sure! |
Eckhart Tolle Like Oprah, Eckhart has his Sun in Aquarius too! Complex chart. Lots of oppositions (experiences of the duality of life) and Saturn aspects 6 of his planets including opposing his Sun, which can feel depressing and restricting. Luckily Eckhart is Eckhart and he found a way out. Follow the blue lines (harmonious connections) from Saturn (looks like an h) to Jupiter (higher thought, teaching, expansiveness), to Uranus (individuality, personal freedom) and to Neptune (spirituality!)....all great ways out of the restrictive Saturn influence. Neptune is opposite Venus (values, love) which connects earthly love to Divine love. Nice. His Mercury is in Pisces (the sign that Neptune rules) so he is naturally "plugged in" to his higher self, divine energy and his words will be inspired and sometimes not his own - but coming from a higher place. I can see how he would have had problems with his Ego - his Mars in Leo (King!) is directly opposite his Sun. Who he was, what he did, was fully tied to his sense of (Sun) Self. Transit-wise the most significant energy is Uranus in Pisces squaring his natal Jupier/Uranus opposition...although it's a challenging aspect (perhaps doing the live web class every Wednesday is a little overwhelming!) whenver Jupiter touches anything it always lends it some positivity since Jupiter is the most benevolent force in our solar system. Double Uranus and Jupiter tells me that doing this web class was a total surprise (Uranus is 'expect the unexpected') and a is a powerful way to get his teachings (Jupiter) across to lots (Jupiter again) of people via technology (Uranus)....go Eckhart! This transit has just started and will go until the end of 2009. Oh, and his Jupiter is in the sign of Sagittarius (Sagittarius' natural ruler) - the sign of the Teacher/Guide.

Oprah Winfrey & Eckhart Tolle's Composite Chart
Now the composite chart...WOW! Take a look at it! Sun, Moon and Mercury all conjunct in Aquarius (fitting for their totally new class-for-thousands via the internet) This 'pod' trines beautifully Neptune (spirituality) and Mars (action - they've got the Will and the energy to share this with everyone) in Libra. Perfect that their composite Neptune/Mars is in Libra...the sign of love, and harmony. Their Venus and Jupiter are in Pisces (fitting!) as Pisces rules spirituality and Formlessness, Ego-lessness. Together they value (Venus) and are able to teach (Jupiter) the ideas they are discussing on Monday nights. Uranus trines their Venus and Mercury - showing that their values and ideas are not in the mainstream (or not yet anyway!) and are somehow revolutionary. Not status quo (Saturn/Capricorn are status quo). The only really obvious intense aspect here is that Pluto is opposing their Sun/Moon/Mercury in Aquarius pod. Oppositions are about other people (relationshp)...so as an Oprah/Eckhart entity they are probably feeling like there are some people out there who are kind of enraged (Pluto) about the ideas they are putting forth. They might feel that what they are saying is dangerous - but it can also Transform and Heal (Pluto) others and themselves.
